Wow! What a great prize! I've looked into the course and it's something I really want to do! I find zippers a bit scary too and have never tried them. And binding would be good to master. My first attempt was terrible! I'm also in Melbourne. :)

What a wonderful giveaway... I concurred the zippers but it's button holes and darts that I have a fear of and lets face it everything needs a button on it and thus will need a button hole!! Hehehe...

Oh oh oh, me please! I wanted to take a sewing course for so long, and online would be perfect for me right now!
I would love to learn how to make darts, and I am still afraid to try zippers - haven't mustered yet the courage to try; silly, I know...
I am in southern Germany.
Keeping my fingers crossed!

Fine

Ok, I feel a little cheeky entering this giveaway given my good luck so recently HOWEVER I have a pile of cut material at home at the moment waiting for me to start sewing it up into a quilt and it's freaking me out! I am a complete novice when it comes to sewing and lessons on anything would be great. I've been experimenting with the scraps before committing to the real thing and I seem to have a serious tension problem that I don't know how to resolve.
Oh, and I'm in Melbourne.

I just made my first ever dress the other day...but have never had a sewing lesson, so I would LOVE to actually know what I am doing. I found the hardest part was actually doing the binding. I had to unpick the neckline twice, and the arm binding is just plain wonky! I am SURE there must be a trick - so that is what I would like to learn!

What a great idea to have an online sewing course. I work full time, and have found that most of the community colleges seem to offer courses only during work hours, so I can't attend.

I'm based in Sydney :)

I would love to do an online course. The things I always find a little tricky is knowing what stitch size and tension to use on different fabrics. Sewing denim always ends in a bobbin knotted mess for me. Sewing binding onto necklines never works for me, it always gapes. I have a pile of fabric ready to sewing for my little boy who turns one in a month and an online course would be a great help! Thanks

This would be completely awesome! As a self-taught sewer there are lots of things I don't do properly, and would love to have more of a clue about reading those confusing patterns!

There are so many things I would love to learn to do properly, and many to practice, but at the moment I would love to learn how to do is button holes! I have a really old machine (a 70s hand me down) and although it does do button holes I'm not sure what to do with different size buttons or hole placement or if there are any tricks to doing it properly/well. A course on basics would make me feel confident about tackling anything more than a simple skirt pattern.

I live in (sunny today) Melbourne.

I have 4 month old little man and since having him I have found myself constantly searching for boys clothes that I like. Solution = make my own. However, it has been years since I have done any sewing, so I need to brush up on all of the basics, including the tricky bits...zips, button holes, stretch sewing and altering patterns.

Such a great idea (an online sewing school)...I've been making waaaay too many cushions lately and think I need to progress to the next thing! My little one is 6 months old and I'd love to make her some clothes. I find reading some patterns/instructions a little tricky - so learning basic dressmaking skills would help me immensely!

This would be so much fun. I love sewing, but I'd like to learn how to sew with knit/stretchy fabric. I think it would open up so many more possibilities to what I could do.

I'm in the United States.

Great idea! never had any lessons in sewing, self taught, so sewing with knits, and putting in the dreaded zipper would be my first two wishes. Oh, and bias binding too. Find me at http://pauline-lifewiththeboo.blogspot.ca/ Thanks!!!

Hi, I'd love to learn how to hem denims and stretch fabrics (track suits). I have two stocky sons and a little girl and almost all their clothing needs some alteration to fit properly.

My biggest issue to the cutesy stuff, like scalloped edges and ruffles. I also have not had good luck with the stretchy fabric. Alterations are always a challenge, but dealing with the fabric is where I struggle. I live in Oklahoma.
